The "Speedrunner" is a large 25-foot diesel semi-displacement boat with a depth sounder and chart plotter. This extremely seaworthy boat features a self-bailing deck and railing, as well as a front cabin. The powerful Volvo Turbo diesel engine gives this heavy and safe boat a powerful ride. All engines have been converted for rod and line fishing. A filleting board and a fish tank are on board, and the boat is suitable for up to five anglers. Life jackets and life jackets are available for many sizes. Tax-exempt diesel fuel is available in Vanse (at an automatic filling station, with debit or credit card and PIN only). The boat is moored in Borshavn Borhaug harbor.
Important: You will receive on-site instruction on boating techniques, as well as practical driving exercises if needed. The boat rental period is tied to the rental period of the holiday home; the minimum rental period is generally 6 days.

Boat additional costs:
Included are the costs for boat rental, mooring and inventory as described, hull insurance with a deductible of up to 1,000 euros depending on boat type and insurance, and the necessary safety equipment and fittings according to Norwegian law.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: passenger and accident insurance, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables, fuel, and lubricants.
Note: Boats consume significantly more fuel for uneconomical and very fast journeys.
Rental deposit in cash:
The rental deposit is 350 euros, which must be paid directly upon collection of the boat and will be immediately refunded to the renter upon return of the rental property in perfect condition.
Boat insurance - comprehensive:
Boats are generally covered by hull insurance. The deductible in the event of damage is up to €1,000, depending on the boat. The amount of the deductible can vary; please inquire with the boat owner upon pick-up and document it on the checklist. Personal belongings are not insured. The insurance does not cover accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental vehicle. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat unless the damage is covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The landlord/owner may retain the deposit paid until the damage is repaired. The deductible for each claim is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned in good condition, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be compensated for by the renter immediately before departure. The renter undertakes to immediately report any damage, collisions, other unusual incidents, or complaints to the landlord/owner.
Boat license:
Guests born before January 1, 1980, do not require a license for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger people, a boat license is required for boats with more than 25 hp.
Binding rules of conduct - tenant's liability:
We expect the boat captain to refrain from alcohol on board.
The renter is liable for damages caused by themselves and also for all damages caused by other users of the boat. Use of the boat is at the renter's own risk and that of all other users. The renter shall inform his or her crew in a timely manner that they will, if necessary, take out adequate insurance against damage events before the start of the trip. Furthermore, the boat operator must familiarize the crew with the boat's technical features and the terms and conditions of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets during trips.
If cleaning fish is done on the boat or on a suitable filleting table at the jetty, please dispose of fish waste at sea, not in the harbor basin. Always cover fish waste (to protect against seagulls).
Territory restriction:
Trips are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 150 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with maritime regulations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement by the landlord/owner. Any claims by the tenant are deemed forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally tied to the rental period of the booked holiday home.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instructions and return is at the berth.
Handover: after 16:00 h or after consultation with the owner
Return: by 10:00 a.m. on the last day of rental or by arrangement with the owner.
Eventual delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone.
Cleaning the boat:
The renter is responsible for thoroughly cleaning the boat at the end of the rental period. The renter must return the boat in the clean condition it was handed over to them by the rental company.
