Main berth: Gjesvaer, Northern Norway, jetty to the properties Edelh Polar 1 and 2, Edelh Polar Spa. Handover and return of the boat is always in Gjesvaer.
General information about the boat:
We present the Skager 660 as a very seaworthy boat! The stable and solid hull is shaped in such a way that Skager 660 lies calmly in the water even in rough seas. The ballast and the good width in the waterline mean that the boat is equipped for wind and weather. The design and bow of the hull minimize water splashes. When Skager crosses the sea, it pushes the water aft and not upwards. With the trim plate and 28 hp, the boat has a top speed of 10-13 knots.
With Skager, you get a handcrafted boat with many small but important details. With a solid polyester hull, sturdy fastenings and a one-piece interior, Skager 660 is suitable for many fantastic years at sea. Skager 660 is a 100% Norwegian product. The most important safety factors are met with the high hull and good seaworthiness. The shape of the hull and keel ensure that the boat remains seaworthy even in rough weather. The boat is equipped with a diesel engine. This is known for its high reliability.

Additional boat costs:
Included are the costs for boat rental, mooring and inventory as described, hull insurance according to Norwegian law with up to 1000 Euro excess depending on boat type and insurance, the necessary safety equipment and equipment according to Norwegian law.
Excluded and not included in the rental price: Insurance for passengers and accident cover, personal liability insurance, excess cover, consumables, fuel and lubricants.
Note: For uneconomical and very fast trips, boats also consume significantly more fuel.
Rental deposit in cash:
The rental deposit is 500 euros, which must be paid directly on site when the boat is taken over and will be refunded to the renter immediately if the rental property is returned free of defects.
Boat insurance - hull insurance:
The boat is generally covered by hull insurance in accordance with Norwegian law. The excess in the event of damage is up to 1000 euros, depending on the boat. The amount of the excess may vary and must be requested from the respective boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal belongings are not insured. The insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The lessor/owner may retain the deposit paid until the damage has been repaired. The excess per case of damage is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned free of defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be replaced by the hirer immediately before departure. The hirer undertakes to notify the lessor/owner immediately of any damage, collisions, other unusual incidents or complaints.
Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We recommend a strict no-alcohol policy on board.
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves and also for any damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the renter's and all other users' own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.
If fish cleaning is to be carried out on the boat or on an appropriate filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbour basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Cleaning the boat:
The hirer must carry out the thorough final cleaning of the boat themselves. The Hirer shall return the boat in the same clean condition as it was handed over to him by the Rental Firm.
