No license required before birth date 1980, max. 20 knots, rental only on request
Main berth:
Private harbor below the houses at Kåfjord.
The boat is always handed over and returned at the regular berth.
General information about the boat:
There is enough space for 4 anglers to fish on the 18 ft. boat. The boat is stable and safe on the water, the powerful 40 HP 4-stroke engine takes the boat up to around 20 knots and thus offers optimal conditions for successful fishing trips and excursions into the fjords and, in good weather, out to sea. Thanks to its stable, yet sleek hull shape, you can reach the best fishing spots in the region safely and comfortably. This type of boat, which is also used for fishing in northern Norway, can be ordered as an extra boat for our other properties on the Kafjord, depending on availability. For other houses in the region, this boat is only available upon telephone request and only if the extra boats allocated to the other houses are no longer available or are already fully booked. The pictures show the Øien 530 F with similar equipment.
Directions:
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths on the route. Please log in to autopass.no and register your vehicle there. If you choose to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. Leave the E39 at the Vigeland roundabout (lighthouse in the middle of the roundabout) and then continue from Vigeland (E 39 lighthouse roundabout) along a well-maintained road no. 407 south - Tjön. From the road, turn left onto Kafjordveien and drive to Roneheia. There, turn left onto Roneheia. Please call our administrator on the telephone number above before you arrive in Norway.
Boat additional costs:
Included are the costs for boat rental, berth and inventory as described, hull insurance according to Norwegian law with up to 1000 Euro deductible depending on boat type and insurance, the necessary safety features and equipment according to Norwegian law.
Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for passengers and accident protection, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables, fuel and lubricants.
Note: Boats also consume significantly more fuel for uneconomical and very fast journeys.
Rental deposit in cash:
The rental deposit is 350 euros, which must be paid on site when taking over the boat and will be immediately refunded to the renter if the rental property is returned in good condition.
Boat insurance - hull:
The boat is generally covered by hull insurance under Norwegian law. The excess in the event of damage is up to 1000 euros, depending on the boat. The amount of the excess can vary; this should be requested from the boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal items are not insured. The insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by people travelling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage and loss to the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The landlord/owner can retain the deposit paid until the damage is repaired. The excess per claim is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned without defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be compensated by the renter immediately before departure. The renter undertakes to report any damage, collisions, other unusual occurrences or complaints to the landlord/owner immediately.
boat license:
Guests born before January 1, 1980 do not need a license for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger people, a boat license for boats with more than 25 HP is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - tenant's liability:
We recommend strictly abstaining from alcohol on board.
The renter is liable for damage caused by himself and also for all damage caused by other users of the boat. The renter and all other users use the boat at their own risk. The renter informs his crew in good time that they will take out appropriate insurance against damage events before the start of the trip. In addition, the boat operator must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the contract conditions and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on trips.
If the fish are cleaned on the boat or on a filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Territory restriction:
Trips are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with maritime regulations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement by the landlord/owner. Any claims by the tenant are then deemed to be forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally tied to the rental period of the booked object.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instructions and return is at the berth.
Handover: after 18:00 h or after consultation with the owner
Return: by 10:30 am on the last rental day or by arrangement with the owner.
Eventual delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone.
Cleaning the boat:
The renter must carry out the thorough final cleaning of the boat himself. The renter returns the boat in the clean condition it was handed over to him by the landlord.
