Holiday home Furuholmen Brygge 31, new addition 2022, Furuholmen peninsula near Lindesnes, Vestagder - Norway, Southern Norway, max. 6 adults and 2 kids, 4 bedrooms, 1 shower room, modern furnishings, terrace and boat berth in front of the house directly on the water, final cleaning included, Internet WiFi, non-smoking, 1 pet allowed, 75 m² living space etc., the boat is registered for fish export.

New for the 2025 season: Included boat Oien 620F, 50 HP, chart plotter and depth sounder.
The large Oien 620 F is an extremely stable, large and wide fishing boat with a steering position and a modern 50 HP Yamaha outboard motor. It is suitable for 4-5 anglers. With an even higher freeboard and larger deck, fishing trips offshore can be made even in good weather. The ultimate all-round boat with Garmin chart plotter and depth sounder is very safe and stable in the waves, drives fantastically on the open sea, is self-draining and practically maintenance-free. Use the boat for fishing in winter and summer, or take the children through the archipelago. The boat comes with an amazingly economical engine.
Equipment: Approx. 620 cm boat length, 235 cm wide, max. 26 knots depending on load, approved for 6 people. Life jackets/aids are available for almost all sizes. The boat can also be driven without a license if the boat driver was born before 1980.

Extra boats that can be ordered for the house:
If you need an extra boat, please ask us about availability. There is a filleting house on Furuholmen for caring for the fish.

General information about the property:
The modernly equipped holiday home Furuholmen Brygge 31 is located in a picturesque fjord location, very angler and family friendly on the very well-kept holiday peninsula of Furuholmen with road access to the mainland. From the terrace with the boat mooring in front of it, there is a wonderful view of the marina and the opposite island, as well as in the direction of the fjord exits, towards the sea. Despite the traffic-calmed peninsula, a well-thought-out architecture makes it possible to drive directly to the property for loading and unloading. Your vehicle is then parked safely and free of charge in an underground car park that is hidden under the island. The small marina with boat and bathing areas, which was specially created for guests, as well as the buildings designed in a South Sea flair and the clean surroundings will certainly meet the highest holiday expectations. For water sports enthusiasts, families and anglers who love a high-quality and well-kept environment, the beautiful location of the house directly on the water and close to very good fishing grounds on the open sea and the adjacent fjord world offers the best conditions for a great holiday.
Swimming opportunities from the hotel's own jetty or at the sandy bathing areas not far from the house, as well as hikes into nature or to the mountain ranges in the background with fantastic panoramic views ensure that there is always something to do. There is also a children's playground and sandy bathing bays with white sand.

Fish waste should be disposed of at sea and not in the harbor basin.

Freizeit und Angeln

Fishing in the area of Lindesnes Spangereid, Mandal, Tarvatnet, Lonestrand, Furuholmen, Snig
Sea anglers can fish in the fjord and the open sea, or pursue flatfish from the shore. We recommend a boat trip to the best fishing areas in the region, off the islands and on the plateaus near Lindesnes - Spangereid. Depending on the power of the safe boat, it takes just 10-20 minutes to get to the open sea. In the fjord mouths you can catch all types of sea fish (20 species of fish, good sizes) depending on the season, weather and tide. On the open sea, good cod, pollock, coalfish, ling and tusk await you. Why not try fishing for cod and plaice from the jetty while you're barbecuing. Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the river mouths. In the summer until early November, shoals of mackerel invade deep into the fjord. On the nearby beaches you can also catch sea fish and flatfish directly from land, depending on the season. Your contact person will show you the fishing grounds on site. There are also two successful fishing guides at Furuholmen that you can book.

We also recommend fishing trips on the fjord or out to sea to the best fishing areas in the region, off Mandal, Furuholmen, the islands offshore and on the plateaus. By boat and in good weather, you can reach the well-known fishing grounds of southern Norway off Furuholmen and Lindesnes.

If you have a small boat, it is better to fish behind the skerries and not go out to sea straight away. If you have a larger boat, it will take you about 15 minutes from the pier to the open sea. In the fjords, you can catch sea fish depending on the season, weather and tide.

On the burrows in the open sea, you can find good coalfish, cod, pollock, mackerel, ling and tusk, and the occasional halibut. The river mouth at Furuholmen is known for good sea trout and salmon catches. River sections and their zones may only be fished with a permit. Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the river mouth.

In summer, schools of mackerel invade deep into the fjords. On the banks and from the jetties, they catch sea fish and plenty of flatfish on the sandy bottom, sometimes also salmon and sea trout, depending on the season. The evening hours are particularly recommended here.

You can also get the best fishing tips from the Norway fishing friends or in the Norway fishing forum .

Here (click ) you can find information about salmon fishing in Zone 1, Audna.

Freshwater fishing / in the surrounding lakes and streams:

If you like fishing for salmon, trout and char, then this is the place for you. The huge Tarvatnet lake has drinking water quality and is home to native salmonid species. Please note - you need a fishing license for the large Tarvatnet. Please ask in advance!

Please pay attention to the closed seasons and fishing limits in the river mouths. The Audna in particular is home to fantastic salmon in the pools, for the different zones you will need a day ticket / permit during the season.

The salmon river Audna (50 km long) flows through the Audnedalen from Ytre Øydnevann to the Snigsfjord by the sea. The river course is very varied and calm stretches alternate with rapids and waterfalls. The width varies between 10 and 20 m and fishing depends heavily on the water level. The first few days after heavy rainfall bring the best results.

You can only fish in the Audna with a state license for salmon and sea trout. You can get these online or by post. You also need a permit from the landowner. You can get this from the Mandal Tourist Office or Lindesnes Tel: 0047 38258068. You can also get the permits in many shops along the river. The prices are low for the really good salmon fishing. Other salmon rivers in the area are the Mandalselva and the Lyngna.

The Audna has seven fishing zones: Interesting Zone 1-3
Zone 1: From the mouth of the sea to Ystholen. The river flows calmly and offers dry fly opportunities for sea trout in the evening hours.
Zone 2: Ystholen up to 150 m below Melhusfoss. Some nice sections for fly fishing. Particularly recommended at medium or low water when no fish are crossing the Melhusfoss.
Zone 3: Melhusfoss. By far the best place. Only a few day tickets are issued and two landowners can fish.
The licenses must be ordered from Audna Fiskerettforening by May 1st and are not particularly cheap.

There are many beautiful fishing spots in the area - for trout, char and sea trout. On the website Suednorwegen.org you can find everything about southern Norway. There is also an overview of the fishing lakes and sea trout spots. For some freshwater lakes you do need a permit, which you have to pay for.

Here you can find all information about the freshwater fishing spots in southern Norway. (Click here) And here you can find a detailed travel report , here you can find information about fishing in southern Norway . And here on the southern Norway page of Hoddel you will find one of the largest nautical charts, text and image collections in southern Norway.

Activities:
In Spangereid, 12 minutes away, there is also a fishing shop, a supermarket and a petrol station with land shops and fishing equipment. In the harbor there is also a small shopping area with maritime shops. You can also shop in Vigeland, where there is also an ATM and a first-class bakery. Norwegian attractions such as the old, re-opened Spangereid Canal, Cape Lindesnes with its lighthouse or various art galleries such as the Krake Vika with theater performances and other events are worth seeing. A trip to Lyngdal Water Park (45 minutes), the newest bathing facility in Northern Europe, should be planned in bad weather. Information is available on the official tourism website www.nordsjovegen.no .
Hikers and cyclists get their money's worth thanks to the very diverse nature, as the small, white coastal towns of this region are strung together like a pearl, not too far away.
With a wide selection and special opening hours, you can also buy many specialties at reasonable prices at the Furuholmen Kiosk on Saturdays and Sundays during the season.
Cape Lindesnes should be included in your trip. Here you can also visit the lighthouse or walk through the old bunkers from World War II (bring a flashlight). The hotel in Båly with its spa and wellness department also spoils you with excellent cuisine. There is also the world's only new underwater restaurant in Spangereid (opening at the end of 2018/19).
If you want nightlife, you should go to Mandal. The drive takes about 35 minutes.
There is a lot going on here, including a number of restaurants and a few pubs where you can just have a drink or dance. Mandal offers many cultural attractions and the city has a lot to offer for shopping fans. Kristiansand Zoo is about an hour's drive away. This is a must for families with children.
