Holiday apartment Lista Maritim Sunset, new holiday apartment in Borhaug with 23 ft. Smartliner Fisher and 115 hp included
At Lista Maritim Sunset, the focus is deliberately on a combination of a new, comfortable holiday apartment and an exceptionally high-quality fishing boat.
Completed in spring 2026, the apartment is located on the ground floor of a modern, ground-level house in Borhaug-Borshavn, just steps from the harbor. It is particularly suitable for anglers and small groups seeking modern accommodation, easy access to their boat, and a high-quality pilothouse boat for trips on the Listafjord and along the coast. Sunset offers approximately 80 square meters of living space and can accommodate up to four guests. The apartment is new, well-furnished, and functionally designed for fishing and holiday stays.
However, the real highlight of the whole package lies at the port:
A Smartliner Fisher 23 ft. with 115 hp, model 2026, is already included in the rental price during the season. A boat of this size and equipment represents considerable value and makes Fewo Sunset particularly attractive for discerning sea anglers.
Important information about the location of the apartment
To avoid any confusion with our holiday apartment Lista Maritim Sunrise located above, we would like to explicitly describe the location of Sunset.
Lista Maritim Sunset is located on the ground floor of the building and is at ground level. The apartment itself does not have a sea or harbor view and does not have a private terrace with a sea view.
In front of the covered apartment entrance is a small, sheltered outdoor seating area in front of the storage room. This area is mostly shaded and offers no particular view.
For the 2027 season, an additional uncovered outdoor seating area is planned next to the house, but also without a view.
Those who place great importance on a terrace with a view should consider this point when making their selection. On the other hand, those looking for a well-equipped, new vacation apartment with easy access to the harbor and a high-quality 23-foot fishing boat included will find Sunset to be an exceptionally attractive package at a reasonable price.
The completely separate holiday apartment Lista Maritim Sunrise with sea view, balcony and terrace is located on the floor above the house.
Living & Furnishings
The living and dining area forms the heart of the apartment and offers ample space for shared meals, cozy evenings, and planning the next fishing trip. The fully equipped kitchen allows for comfortable self-catering, even during longer stays.

outdoor area
Sunset has no terrace or private garden area. The focus here is clearly on living comfort, harbor location, and boat use.
Directly in front of the covered apartment entrance is a small seating area. This spot is sheltered by the building, but is mostly in the shade and offers no view of the harbor or the sea.
For the 2027 season, a new, uncovered outdoor seating area is planned next to the house. This area also does not offer a direct view of the sea or harbor, but provides an additional opportunity to sit and barbecue outdoors in good weather. A wood-burning barbecue grill is available for outdoor use.
The great advantage of the location, however, is evident in the short distances and the favorable price:
The harbor and boat slip are only about 30 meters from the house.
Boat included for the season: Smartliner Fisher 23 ft. with 115 hp.
Use without a boat license is possible if the boat operator was born before January 1, 1980.
The Smartliner Fisher, which belongs to the apartment, is an exceptionally high-quality fishing boat.
The boat is a 2026 model and, with its 23 feet or 7.22 meters in length, is already one of the larger fishing boats in our program.
Boat season times
The Smartliner Fisher is included in the rental price of the holiday apartment from March 22nd to November 8th inclusive.
From November 9th to March 21st, the boat is normally in winter storage.
During this period, additional use may be arranged subject to prior agreement and availability.

- The boat is very suitable for 4 to 5 anglers, depending on the load.
Plenty of space and shelter on the water
The offset pilothouse cabin is one of the Smartliner Fisher's practical features. This design maintains a safe passage to the bow, allowing the front of the boat to be used for fishing. There you'll also find a bench seat and the anchor locker. The inside helm offers a significant comfort advantage over open boats in windy conditions, spray, and cooler temperatures. At the same time, the deck remains spacious enough for fishing. Depending on the load, the boat reaches a top speed of approximately 25 knots. The combination of size, freeboard, pilothouse, and engine power is a major advantage, especially for longer trips to the fishing grounds off Lista.
Briefing and safety
You will receive a detailed briefing on the boat on site.
Practical driving exercises are also provided, allowing the boat operator to familiarize themselves with the operation, steering, and handling of the Smartliner before their first longer trip. Life jackets and buoyancy aids are available in almost all common sizes.
The boat can be driven without a Norwegian boat license if the boat operator was born before 1980.
Harbor, boat mooring and filleting house
The boat mooring is located only about 60 meters from the holiday apartment.
This makes the routes particularly short: get your fishing equipment from your apartment, walk a few steps to the harbor and start your tour directly.
Upon your return, a fish processing facility is available; please leave it clean after use.
The facility is designed so that you can moor your boat directly in front of the filleting area. This makes processing your catch considerably easier.
Lista Maritim Sunset and the associated boat are registered for tourist fishing with a fish export quota.
Fishing off Lista and Borhaug
Borhaug has been one of the most popular offshore fishing regions for our guests in southern Norway for many years.
The location directly on the Listafjord allows for both tours into more sheltered areas and trips to the well-known offshore fishing grounds off the coast.
Popular fishing areas include, for example:
- Listaplateau
- Raunaplateau
- Listafjorden football field
- Jølle
Depending on the season and fishing method, cod, pollack, saithe, ling, sea trout, haddock, mackerel, and various flatfish species are caught in the region. The large Smartliner Fisher really shines on longer trips to the offshore fishing grounds.
Borhaug and Borshavn
The holiday apartment is located in Borshavn, the maritime part of Borhaug on the Lista peninsula.
The harbor, the sea, and the coastal landscape define the town. Lista often presents a tranquil side, but in strong winds and rough seas, the rugged southern Norwegian coast becomes particularly impressive.
A supermarket with groceries and fresh baked goods is located only about 350 meters away.
Many of our other Lista Maritim holiday homes are also located in the immediate vicinity.
This makes Sunset very suitable for groups or families who are traveling to Borhaug together but want to stay in separate accommodations.
For larger groups, the combination with the completely separate holiday apartment Lista Maritim Sunrise on the upper floor is particularly suitable.
Nature and leisure activities around Lista
The region offers many opportunities beyond fishing.
The flat coastal landscape around Lista differs significantly from many other parts of southern Norway. Long beaches, dunes, small harbors, lighthouses, and open stretches of coastline characterize the area.
Popular activities include:
- Coastal hikes
- Bike tours
- Beach visits
- Birdwatching
- Excursions to Farsund
- Visit to the lighthouses on Lista
- Walks through Borhaug and Borshavn
- Boat tours along the coast
- Mushroom picking in season
- This makes the apartment suitable for guests who, in addition to fishing, would like to explore the landscape of Lista.
A special price-performance package for anglers
With Lista Maritim Sunset, two things should be clearly distinguished:
The holiday apartment itself is a modern, new basement apartment, but without a sea view and without a classic terrace.
The exceptional bonus is the included Smartliner Fisher 23 ft. with 115 hp.
A modern pilothouse boat of this size and equipment already represents considerable value in itself. That's precisely why Sunset offers a very attractive overall package for guests who want to spend most of their vacation days on the water.
Here you're not paying for a large viewing terrace, but you're getting a high-quality apartment and an exceptionally high-quality fishing boat for a reasonable price.
And that is precisely where the strength of Lista Maritim Sunset lies.

Fishing in the sea and in the fjords
from Borhaug via Farsund to Sigersvoll / Eidsfjorden
We are fishing specialists in Borhaug and the surrounding area. Here you will also find what are probably the best and most impressive fishing videos from our fishing friends Achim and Claus from the Bjoernevag, Farsund and Borhaug region over the last 10 years.

For the best fishing spots in the offshore waters (Plateau Jölle in Listafjorden, known as the football field, and Plateau Rauna near the shipwrecks between Farsund and Borhaug), we will provide you with a map after booking. Excellent cod, pollack, saithe, ling, tusk, as well as smaller halibut weighing 10-20 kg and countless mackerel are regularly brought in from the offshore banks and plateaus. Even trophy halibut weighing 80 kg have been caught.
The fishing spots are littered with wrecks that sank before the lighthouse was built around the turn of the century. A wreck near Lista Lighthouse at a depth of 67 meters is considered a hidden gem, where sizable ling, sometimes large cod, and good-sized pollack can be found. At and around Pollackberg in Listafjorden, at a depth of 70 meters, hard-fighting sea fish, especially pollack, regularly take the bait, as our pictures beautifully demonstrate. Ling, pollack, and good-sized cod also congregate directly south of the lighthouse, at depths of 45 to 80 meters, along the drop-offs.
However: Keep your boats away from the lighthouse shore. There are huge rocks just below the surface off the shore; a wave or strong swell would smash your boat against these underwater obstacles.
The Rauna Plateau, further east, with its sandy trenches and elevations at a depth of 117 meters, is also known for its exceptionally large cod, saithe, and ling. The trenches surrounding the plateau are very deep and have yielded enormous ling and beautiful halibut.
The beaches and jetties near Borhaugs offer good opportunities for surf fishing for sea trout, turbot, and other flatfish species, especially in spring and early summer. Good specimens are regularly caught on the shallow beaches near the trotting track, Osthasselstrand, Nordhasselstrand, and Bausje.
In the outer harbor of Borhaug, from the breakwater next to the harbor entrance to the sea, plenty of flounder and plaice are always caught from the shore. This is a good alternative when the northwest wind is blowing and you can't go out to sea.
It is particularly noteworthy that the owners in this area take exemplary care of their guests. Don't worry, even on the larger boats you will receive thorough instruction and practical training until you are completely confident handling the vessels.
Please bear in mind that you are fishing on the open sea, in one of the best fishing grounds in southern Norway, with a great diversity of species and amazing fish sizes. Your trips to sea should always be well-planned and considered. Please check the wind and wave height several times a day on the online weather app. yr.no . and don't risk your life for a fish. Your children would be happy if you came home safe and sound.

Fishing in Eidsfjord near Varnes
The fishing area lies directly in front of Eidsfjord, with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord. Here you'll find excellent spots for pollack, cod, and saithe. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling, and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is permitted daily. We have fished Eidsfjord many times, including at the fjord entrances along the verdant cliffs with their steep, terraced edges and considerable depths, in the opposite Stolsfjord, and towards Cape Varnes with its renowned pollack spots. At Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep banks. Pollack are plentiful there, hiding among the underwater vegetation in shallow water. Do not enter the small bays and harbors; beware of shallows.
In Eidsfjorden itself, you can always find cod, saithe, pollack, and ling, as well as mackerel in the summer, and occasionally salmon and sea trout while trolling. Flounder and plaice prefer sandy bottoms. This alternative is a good option when the wind is northwest and you can't go out to sea. With easterly winds, fishing trips are almost always possible. Please bear in mind that you are fishing here in the fjord, just before the open sea, arguably the best fishing area in southern Norway, with a great diversity of species and surprisingly large fish. Therefore, your trips should be well-planned and carefully considered.
Please check Windguru and yr.no several times a day for wind and wave height. Eidsfjorden (Link Click)
Anglers will find plenty to enjoy at Eisdfjord. Large numbers of pollack, saithe, and cod, along with ample mackerel and other saltwater fish, are on the menu. Fancy some edible crabs? The manager knows where to catch them by hand. Eisdfjorden is renowned for its excellent water quality and abundant fish population. Heed the advice of experienced owners and locals, and never venture out to sea in uncertain weather.
GPS coordinates for the best fishing spots for cod, pollack, ling, tusk, saithe, etc., will be provided upon booking. On board, you will receive thorough instruction and boat handling lessons until you are completely comfortable with the boat.

What is there to say in conclusion about the beautiful Lista region?
It's fascinating to see how the sea changes with the wind, sun, and weather, and how the interplay of light transforms the landscape. Norwegians call it a miniature version of Norway because all the country's typical cultural and natural elements converge here. Many believe that the Lista region will soon surpass the Lofoten Islands in popularity. Norwegians love extreme challenges when hiking and engaging in sporting activities, and in winter, they appreciate extreme weather with snow and fierce storms, which create a true spectacle of nature. This is where the Lista region truly shines.
Horse riding, an alpaca farm, football and volleyball pitches, arguably the best outdoor skate park, a large go-kart track at Lista Fly Park, a gym with a solarium – Borhaug offers all this to keep its guests entertained. A visit to the Lista lighthouse and the quaint stone fields is an absolute must.
In windy or bad fishing weather, head to the coast near Jölle and Snekkestö. If you walk along the shores after a storm, you'll find many ancient and maritime artifacts washed ashore from the depths. Develop a passion for collecting and craft wonderful decorative items for your home from your finds. Also, visit the hidden mountain lakes in the hinterland and spend a lovely summer day swimming there. Even in Norway, the water in shallow areas can reach up to 20 degrees Celsius.
The existing and exemplary signposted hiking trails (totaling over 200 km) must first be conquered by experienced hikers.
Challenge yourself and get active... We hope you have fun.

Recommended travel route - ferries:
From Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand or Stavanger (N). We are happy to assist you in selecting the most affordable ferries ( Color Line or Fjord Line ) and can reliably book them for you upon request. The journey time to the properties in the Lista region is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Long-distance buses run directly to Lyngdal from Kristiansand or Stavanger. From Lyngdal, there is another bus connection to Borhaug, near your holiday accommodation (the driver will stop upon request).
Directions:
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths along the route. Please register your vehicle at autopass.no . If you choose to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will receive a small invoice for the tolls incurred. Leave the E39 at the Lyngdal exit and then take the R43 towards Farsund. From Farsund, follow the R43 towards Vestbygd / Vanse / Borhaug. In Borhaug, turn left at the "Postveien" road towards "Borshavn". Continue on Strandveien; the driveway to the house is on the left side of Strandveien, just before the breakwater.
Additional costs for boats:
If a boat is already owned or has been ordered, the costs for boat rental, including mooring and boat equipment, comprehensive insurance with a deductible of up to €1000 depending on the boat type and insurance policy, and the necessary safety equipment and gear according to Norwegian law will be billed separately. Exclusively included in the boat rental price are: passenger and accident insurance, personal liability insurance, deductible coverage, consumables, fuel, and lubricants.
Boat insurance - hull coverage:
Our boats are generally covered by comprehensive insurance. The deductible in case of damage is €1000. The deductible amount may vary; please inquire with the boat owner upon taking possession of the boat and document it on the checklist. Personal belongings are not insured. The comprehensive insurance does not cover accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental boat. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat, unless the damage is covered by insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The lessor/owner may retain the security deposit until the damage is repaired. The deductible per claim is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the security deposit. The security deposit will be refunded immediately upon the boat's return in undamaged condition. Any damage not covered by the security deposit or insurance must be paid for by the renter immediately before departure. The renter is obligated to inform the lessor/owner immediately of any damage, collisions, other unusual occurrences, or complaints.
Boat license:
Guests born before January 1, 1980, do not require a boating license for this class of motorboat in Norway. Younger individuals must hold a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp.
Binding rules of conduct - tenant's liability:
For your safety, we strongly recommend abstaining from alcohol on board.
The renter is liable for any damage they cause themselves, as well as for any damage caused by other users of the boat. Use of the boat is at the renter's and all other users' own risk. The renter must inform their crew in a timely manner that they should obtain adequate insurance coverage against accidents before departure. Furthermore, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat's operation and the terms of the rental agreement and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets during trips.
If fish cleaning takes place on the boat or on a suitable filleting table at the dock, please dispose of the fish waste at sea, not in the harbor basin. Always cover fish waste (to protect against seagulls).
Territorial restrictions:
Navigation is permitted only in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and in coastal areas. Maintain a sufficient distance from shoreline areas. A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with maritime regulations may result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement by the lessor/owner. Any claims by the lessee will then be forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally tied to the rental period of the booked property.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/accepted according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instruction and return take place at the berth.
Handover: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM or by arrangement with the owner
Return: by 10:00 am on the last day of rental or by arrangement with the owner.
Any delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone.
Cleaning the boat:
The renter is responsible for thoroughly cleaning the boat upon departure. The renter must return the boat in the same clean condition as it was received by the owner.
