Bjørnevåg - these are beautiful, well-maintained vacation homes with the best equipment for the passionate Norwegian angler, but also for a vacation with the whole family or with friends on the south coast of Norway halfway between Farsund and Lyngdal. The Bjørnevågsfjord with its islands and the Farsund archipelago offers everything you need for a successful Norwegian vacation. The lovingly designed complex with 11 detached vacation homes is owned by a Norwegian family. Founder Jakob and his family make sure that your well-deserved vacation is a complete success. This very well-equipped vacation home is located in Farsund-Björnevag in the Vestagder region of southern Norway. On the Bjørnevågsfjord, in front of the Farsund archipelago, the house is situated on a terraced, very beautiful property in the neighborhood of other exclusive vacation homes on the owner's beautiful private harbor. At the end of the fjord there are many small groups of islands just a few kilometers from the open sea. Thanks to the fantastic location of the house, you can enjoy the private atmosphere, the sun and the view of the harbor and the fjord on the well-kept property. Charging of hybrid or e-cars via the house electricity is not permitted and is only allowed at the approved charging stations.
Included: The costs for final cleaning, house rent, internet, electricity for normal household management and water are thus included in the price.
Excluded and not included in the rental price: Insurance for accident cover, personal liability insurance.
Vacation with your dog: In Bjoernevag we allow vacation with your dog in some designated houses. A daily fee of 16 euros is charged per dog. The dog must be declared at the time of booking.
Final cleaning - bed linen/towel sets
Final cleaning is included in the price of this property. Bed linen and towel sets can also be booked as an optional service for 25 euros per set. If you bring your own bed linen: Please make sure that the comforter covers and fitted sheets are the right size. You must also bring your own sauna towels. For hygienic reasons, the use of sleeping bags is prohibited!

Preferably Saturdays, other days by arrangement.

Deposit:
The rental deposit is 200 euros, this is to be paid directly on site when moving in and will be refunded to the tenant when the rental property is returned free of defects when moving out.

Pets are only allowed in the properties approved for them. All houses and apartments in our offer are non-smoking properties. No party groups please! Children are welcome, a baby travel crib is available free of charge if required.
Fish cleaning is to be done on the boat or in the filleting house in the harbor. Gutting and scaling the fish on or in the house is not permitted! Please dispose of fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin.
Fishing and leisure activities in Farsund and the Bjoernevag region
Fishing in Farsund, Bjoernevag, Nordstranda and the waters outside Katland on the sea up to Cape Lindesnes
.In the area around Farsund with its fjords, island gardens, archipelago and the extremely fish-rich plateaus on the sea off Katland and the Kletten, water sports activities and saltwater fishing (all types) are at the top of your daily program. For diving, kiting, surfing and recreational and amateur anglers, the area is always full of surprises.
Good catches of handsome sea fish such as cod, pollack, coalfish, long and lump, sometimes halibut, as well as mackerel in abundance are brought home especially from the sea hotspots off Farsund, between Lindesnes Fyr and Lista Fyr. Of course, we know that the success rates depend on the weather, the season and the currents, but that's the way it is all over Norway on the coastal stretches. The exciting videos show once again that fishing in the Lista region is very productive when the weather is stable. The sizes of the fish caught are particularly impressive, although it is often claimed that "there are no big fish in southern Norway", which is proven to be complete nonsense.
The important thing is to use the right fishing tackle and methods. Here you will find the right tips on tackle and the fishing methods we recommend. The open sea with its plateaus Nesskletten, Svaneflua, Rauna and other good fishing spots should only be approached with suitable boats and only in stable weather. What is important to us: You should only visit offshore fishing spots in stable weather and with a suitable boat! Small dinghies should avoid offshore fishing areas and have no place on the open sea.

After all, the entire area offers more than 20 species of fish that can be caught. You can fish between the islands and skerries, or in the sheltered fjord with hardly any down days to speak of, virtually in any weather. In good weather with little wind, you can easily reach the open sea and the sandy plateaus from most of the locations. In the wintery spring, the herring come to the coast, joined by strong cod and coalfish.
From some of the jetties you can catch flatfish, flounder and meagre, as well as other sea fish. The owner can usually give you good weather tips and advice on worthwhile fishing spots. Wind-protected fishing in the fjord is almost always possible. So if you want to combine fishing and family, a short journey and lots of alternative vacation activities, this region is the place for you.
From Farsund or Borhaug you can book professionally guided fishing trips. The operator Björnevags also offers, for example, guided deep-sea fishing tours with M/S Bjørnevåg, 32 ft/100 hp, certified for 5-8 people. The tour lasts approx. 6 hours and is only carried out with a binding confirmation. (Only bookable and payable on site in Björnevag).
Fishing at Nordstranda:
Shoals of mackerel and other marine fish species move into the Helvikfjorden near Norstranda at various times of the year. From April onwards, fishing for sea trout directly from the jetty at Nordstranda or at "Svingbru v Bøensbakken" is absolutely promising and successful. The best mefo fishing, in our opinion, can be found on the shores and beaches of Farsund, or even in the city center under the bridge when the wind is blowing. We tested this ourselves and were quite successful.
In the summer of 2023, a herd of peaceful killer whales (orcas) even moved into the inner fjords and stayed there for several weeks to feed and rest. Visitors should keep their boats away from these majestic animals and the seals and always keep a safe distance.
Did you know that you can take a boat from our new Nordstranda facility near Helvik through the fjords to Lyngdal or Apta? Or in just 15 minutes directly to the center of Farsund and from there quickly to the open sea, past the Katland lighthouse?

The beautiful maritime city center of Farsund with its quay and harbor facilities - a highlight is the proximity to the city center of Farsund, because there are plenty of stores and a 'shopping mall' here. The ladies traveling with you will be thrilled to see or buy a lot of Nordic fashion here. Several boat fuel stations, shopping centers and various grocery stores (KIWI, COOP, SPAR, REMA 1000, Joker) are easy to find. Farsund offers many cultural sights and the city has a lot to offer shopping fans.

Recommended journey - ferries:
From Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand or Stavanger (N). We are happy to help you choose the cheapest ferries (Colorline or Fjordline) and book them reliably on request.
The journey time to the properties in the region is approx. 1 hr. 30 min. The long-distance buses go directly to Lyngdal from Kristiansand or Stavanger. From Lyngdal there is another bus connection to Farsund (the driver stops on request).
How to get there
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths along the route. Please log on to autopass.no and register your vehicle there. If you wish to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. Leave the "E39" at the Lyngdal exit and drive in the direction of Farsund. Follow the RV 43 in the direction of Farsund. After 13 km on the 43, turn left at the Bjoernevag Ferien / Farsund Resort sign onto the FV656. If you have never driven this route before, it is advisable to prepare yourself with a route planner or a road map. Please remember to stock up on Norwegian kroner in Lyngdal. These are necessary for shopping and for paying the deposit.
Note: The owner of the facility offers guided deep-sea fishing tours with his boat MS-Bjoernevag /32 ft., 100 hp) during the season. The minimum number of participants is 5, maximum 8 anglers. The tour lasts approx. 6 hours. Booking and payment must be made on the spot. The costs are approx. 4300 NOK (without guarantee).
Additional costs when renting a boat:
Included in the additional rental of a boat are the costs for boat rental, mooring and inventory, as shown in the respective boat description. Hull insurance with a 1000 euro excess depending on the type of boat and insurance, the necessary safety equipment and equipment according to Norwegian law are also included.
Included and not included in the rental price: Insurance for passengers and accident cover, personal liability insurance, excess cover, consumables, fuel and lubricants.
Boat insurance - hull insurance:
Hull insurance is usually included for rented boats. The excess in the event of damage is up to 1000 euros, depending on the type of boat. The amount of the excess may vary and must be requested from the respective boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal items are not insured under hull insurance. The hull insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The lessor/owner may retain the deposit paid until the damage has been repaired. The excess per case of damage is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned free of defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be replaced by the hirer immediately before departure. The hirer undertakes to notify the lessor/owner immediately of any damage, collisions, other unusual incidents or complaints.
Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We recommend not drinking alcohol on board. This is solely for your safety.
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves and also for any damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the renter's and all other users own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.
If fish cleaning is to take place in the harbour, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbour basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Cleaning the boat:
The hirer must carry out the thorough final cleaning of the boat themselves. The Hirer shall return the boat in the same clean condition as it was handed over by the Owner.
