Fish cleaning must always be done on the boat (good equipment on the boat) in the harbor, or on a suitable filleting table. The fillets should then be rinsed with fresh sea water, bagged and frozen at home. Gutting and scaling the fish on or in the house is not permitted. Fish waste must be disposed of at sea and not in the harbor basin.
Fishing:
The house's great location offers the best opportunities for sea anglers, particularly in the vicinity of very fish-rich fishing grounds, surrounded by many thousands of skerries and islands as well as the adjacent fjords. The fishing area is famous for the Saltstraumen and Vega Islands. The fish species found here, such as halibut, wolffish, pollock, redfish, haddock, ling, tusk, cod, salmon, trout and the like, can be cleaned directly on the filleting table with running water and then stored in the freezer. Your fishing equipment can be stored safely and securely in the house. There are opportunities for freshwater fishing in a nearby salmon river. If you like salmon and trout fishing, you should definitely try your luck in the river Lakselva, part of the Vistenvassdraget waters in the interior of the fjord. Fishing licenses can be purchased at Visthus Camping. Wonderful mountain hikes or short excursions through the surrounding forests will delight any Norway connoisseur.
Activities:
It is impossible to list everything here... there are so many options for leisure activities here. Trips on the regularly scheduled ferries and speedboats through the beautiful island landscape of the fjords to the sights in the area, or to the larger towns, such as Sandnessjøen in the north or Brønnøysund in the south of Helgeland, are definitely worthwhile and will enrich your vacation. You can find more information about the Helgeland region here.
The kingdom of a thousand islands offers spectacular natural wonders, mountains and peaks, the open sea and white sandy bays, large and small, flat and high, long and wide islands. By vehicle you will travel along a varied coastline, circle fjord arms, cross bridges and along the foot of picturesque peaks. The uplifting views and natural experiences here will take your breath away. You will not find comparable nature in Norway. The Vistenfjord is also very suitable for diving. Visthus Camping has a compressor for refilling oxygen. Swimming in the sea and hikes in the mountains with fantastic nature round off the perfect holiday location. Exclusive and not included in the rental price: insurance for passengers and accident protection, personal liability insurance, excess coverage, consumables, fuel and lubricants.
Boat insurance - hull:
Your boat is usually covered by hull insurance. The excess in the event of damage is 1,000 euros. The type of insurance and the amount of the excess can vary; this should be requested from the boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal items are not insured. Hull insurance does not cover accidental damage suffered by people traveling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat unless the damage is covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The landlord/owner can keep the deposit paid until the damage is repaired. The excess per claim is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned without defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be compensated for by the renter immediately before departure. The renter undertakes to report any damage, collisions, other unusual occurrences or complaints to the landlord/owner immediately.

Guests born before January 1, 1980 do not need a license for motorboats of this class in Norway. For younger people, a boat license for boats with more than 25 HP is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - tenant's liability:
We recommend strictly abstaining from alcohol on board.
The renter is liable for damage caused by himself and also for all damage caused by other users of the boat. The renter and all other users use the boat at their own risk. The renter informs his crew in good time that they will take out appropriate insurance against damage events before the start of the trip. In addition, the boat operator must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the contract conditions and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on trips.
If the fish are cleaned on the boat or on a suitable filleting table, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Territory restriction:
Trips are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port, as well as near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with maritime regulations may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement by the landlord/owner. Any claims by the tenant are then deemed to be forfeited.

The rental period of the boat is generally tied to the rental period of the booked property.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instructions and return is at the berth.
Handover: 17:00 h - 18:00 h or by arrangement with the owner
Return: by 10:30 am on the last rental day or by arrangement with the owner.
