Equipment: drive-by-wire electronic throttle system, approx. 7.22 meters total length with bathing platform, 2.5 meters wide, suitable for 4 anglers, large 9 inch chartplotter depth sounder Lowrance HDS 9 Touch, LED deck lighting, deck wash pump, 200 liter fish tank, registered for tourist fishing with fish export quota, rental as an extra boat only for the properties in Borhaug.

The P66 Multi is every angler's dream boat and a first-class fishing boat. The P66 Multi is a very stable boat made in Norway with high sides and plenty of deck space. This version of the P66 Multi is a powerful rough-water jeep with an extra-large deck area. It comes standard with six large hatches in the deck, offering ample space for storing gear and cargo below deck. The deck is self-bailing.
This offshore-ready, high-sided pilothouse, with an overall length of approximately 7.22 meters and a beam of 2.5 meters, is perfectly suited for modern sea fishing and, depending on the rigging, can reach speeds of up to 30 knots. The boat features an open cabin with a tarpaulin door, an electronic helm station, a large 9-inch Lowrance 9 Touch chartplotter and depth sounder, and seven rod holders. The large open area allows four anglers to fish together. The private mooring is located directly in front of the house in Borshavn Harbor.
The tank holds at least 140 liters of gasoline, which should be enough for quite some time, depending on your driving style. You can get gasoline from the provided canisters in Vanse or at the automatic filling station at Lista Airport (only with debit or credit card and PIN).
Important: You will receive on-site instruction on boating techniques, as well as practical driving exercises. The boat rental period is tied to the rental period of the holiday home. Assistance is available in almost all sizes.

Other excellent boat options for anglers – even boats without a license are possible
Various extra boat classes can be booked separately for the house, all registered for tourist fishing.
Note: Boats with more than 25 hp can be used without a license for persons born before January 1, 1980. Life jackets are available in all sizes. Boats with 25 hp and less are also license-free for younger people.

Extra boat Arronet 23.5 SP, approx. 24 feet aluminum, 150 HP Yamaha outboard ( click on link )
Fully electronic "drive-by-wire," maximum stability, maximum safety, and pure power at sea, large 10-inch Garmin chartplotter and depth sounder, maximum 5 anglers. Regular berth: Borhaug - Borshavn.

Fishing in the sea and in the fjords, from Borhaug via Farsund to Sigersvoll / Eidsfjorden
We are fishing specialists in Borhaug and the surrounding area. Here you will also find the best and most impressive fishing videos from our fishing friends Achim and Claus from the Bjøernevag, Farsund, and Borhaug regions over the past 10 years.

Here you can find the fishing films from The Achim Videos" 2014 – 2024" (Link) on YouTube
After booking, we will provide you with a map of the best fishing spots in the offshore waters (the Jölle plateau in Listafjorden, known as a football field, and the Rauna plateau near the shipwrecks between Farsund and Borhaug). Excellent cod, pollock, coalfish, ling, lumpfish, as well as smaller halibut weighing 10-20 kg and vast quantities of mackerel are regularly brought back from the offshore banks and plateaus. Even large halibut in the 80-kg class have been caught.

The fishing spots are littered with wrecks that sank before the lighthouse was built at the turn of the century. A well-kept secret is a wreck near Lista Lighthouse at a depth of 67 meters, where impressive ling, sometimes large cod, and good pollack can be found. In and around the pollack mountain in Listafjorden at a depth of 70 meters, strong-fighting marine fish, especially pollack, regularly catch the hook, as our photos amply demonstrate. Ling, pollack, and good cod can also be found on the rocky outcrops directly south of the lighthouse, at depths of 45 to 80 meters.

But: Keep your boats away from the lighthouse's shore. Huge boulders lie beneath the water's surface, and a wave or strong swell would smash your boat against the underwater obstacles.

The Rauna Plateau, further east, with its sandy ditches and elevations at a water depth of 117 meters, is also known for its exceptional and very large cod, coalfish, and ling. The ditches surrounding the plateau are very deep and have produced enormous ling and beautiful halibut.
The beaches and piers near Borhaugs offer good surf fishing for sea trout, turbot, and other flatfish species, especially in spring and early summer. Good specimens are regularly caught on the shallow beaches near the race track, Osthasselstrand, Nordhasselstrand, and Bausje.

In Borhaug's outer harbor, from the pier next to the harbor entrance to the sea, there are always plenty of flounder and plaice caught from land. This is a good alternative when the northwest wind blows and you can't go out.

It's particularly noteworthy that the owners in this area take exemplary care of their guests. Don't worry, even on the larger boats, you'll receive detailed instruction and driving practice until you're truly confident handling the watercraft.
Please remember that you are fishing in the open sea, in one of the best fishing areas in southern Norway, with a rich biodiversity and astonishingly large fish. Your outings should always be carefully planned and considered. Please check the online weather app several times a day for wind and wave heights. yr.no . And don't risk your life for a fish. Your children would be happy if you returned home safe and sound.

Fishing in Eidsfjord near Varnes
The fishing area is located directly in front of Eidsfjord, with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord, offering excellent fishing spots for pollock, cod, and coalfish. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling, and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is possible every day. We have often fished in Eidsfjord, as well as at the fjord entrances along the green cliffs with their steep, sheer cliffs and very deep waters, in the opposite Stolsfjord, or toward Cape Varnes with its renowned pollock fishing spots. There, at Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep shores. Pollock are plentiful there among the underwater vegetation at shallow depths. Avoid small bays and harbors; beware of shallow waters.

In the Eidsfjorden itself, there are always cod, coalfish, pollock, ling, mackerel in the summer, and occasionally salmon and sea trout when trolling. Flounder and plaice like sandy bottoms. This alternative is a good option when you can't go out in a northwesterly wind. With an easterly wind, trips are almost always possible. Please keep in mind that you are fishing here in the fjord just before the open sea, arguably the best fishing area in southern Norway, with a wide variety of species and astonishingly large fish. Therefore, your trips should be well planned and considered.

Please check wind and wave height several times a day on Windguru and yr.no Eidsfjorden (Link Click)

Amateur anglers will find plenty of opportunities in Eisdfjord. Plenty of pollock, coalfish, and cod in impressive sizes, along with plenty of mackerel and other marine fish, are on the list. Fancy some edible crab? The caretaker knows where to catch them by hand. Eisdfjorden is known for its good water quality and abundance of fish. Follow the advice of experienced owners and locals and never go out to sea in uncertain weather.
GPS coordinates to the best fishing spots for cod, pollock, ling, lumpfish, coalfish, etc. will be provided upon booking. On board, you'll receive detailed instruction and driving lessons until you're fully comfortable with the boat.

You can find fishing and equipment tips on our homepage under the Norway tab.

Freshwater fishing / in the surrounding lakes and streams:
There are many beautiful fishing spots in the area – for trout, char, and sea trout. On the Listerfriluft.no website , you'll find an overview of fishing lakes and sea trout spots. For some freshwater lakes, a license is required, which is subject to a fee. Here you'll find all the information you need about freshwater fishing spots in Southern Norway. (Click here)

Please contact Lista Surfing (click). Christian speaks German, English, and Norwegian. If you have any questions, please contact us or visit their website.

Lista offers beautiful, long beaches with shallow water. All you need to bring is a towel and a picnic basket for a lovely day of sun and windless seas. If you're up for a longer hike, you can pack your backpack with some water and a snack and stroll along the beaches of Farsund.

In Borhaug, there's a Joker supermarket with a solid selection of almost everything you need. The local bakery delivers fresh pastries every morning, so why not buy some fresh Norwegian baked goods for breakfast?
It's best to do your shopping locally. Where? In Vanse, of course. There, Coop, Rema 1000, and the trendy Kiwi compete with great deals and local goods and groceries.

Farsund: (15 minutes from Borhaug by car) is easily accessible by car, bike or bus, a cozy town where you can take a walk, eat ice cream or shop in one of the many shops.

Vanse: Several stores with a wide selection, and here you will find Trunken, an American store that you must visit!

Lyngdal Handel spark or Lyngdal City: Here you will find everything your heart desires.

Try the restaurants in Farsund, or the small Asian food carts with Thai food in Vanse. Whether the new fish restaurant at the harbor in Farsund has the best fish and chips in the entire country is something you'll have to explore for yourself. We love them. At the Fjordhotell or Rederiethotell, you have to go to the popular Be sure to pre-order theme buffets.

Lista has great, long hiking trails and is also wonderful for cycling. A visit to Lista Lighthouse is a must, and it's a lovely walking excursion from there towards Varnes, into old, authentic Norway. Lista Lighthouse regularly hosts various art exhibitions. Check out the Lista Gallery for an overview of the exhibitions. More information: (Click)

The water park in Lyngdal is only about 30 minutes away by car.

Finally, what can we say about the beautiful Lista region?
It's fascinating to see how the sea changes with the wind, sun, and weather, and how the play of light transforms the landscape. Norwegians call it a miniature version of Norway because all of the country's typical cultural and natural elements converge here. Many believe that the Lista region will soon overtake the Lofoten Islands. Norwegians love extreme challenges in hiking and sporting activities, and in winter, extreme weather with snow and violent storms, which are a true natural spectacle. This is where the Lista region excels.

Borhaug offers its guests horseback riding, an alpaca farm, soccer and volleyball courts, arguably the best outdoor skate park, a large go-kart track on Lista Fly Plass, and a gym with a solarium. A visit to the Lista Lighthouse and the quaint stone fields is an absolute must.

If it's windy or the weather is bad, head to the coast to Jölle and Snekkestö. If you wander along the shores after a storm, you'll find many ancient and maritime objects that the sea has washed up from the depths. Develop a passion for collecting and craft your finds into great eye-catchers for your home. Visit the hidden mountain lakes in the hinterland and spend a lovely day swimming there in the summer. Even in Norway, the water can reach temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius in shallow areas.

The existing and excellently signposted hiking trails (over 200 km in total) are waiting to be conquered by experienced hikers.

Let yourself be challenged and get active... We hope you have fun.
